چکیده

Robust automatic language identification (LID) is a task of identifying the language from a short utterance spoken by an unknown speaker. One of the mainstream approaches named parallel phone recognition language modeling (PPRLM) has achieved a very good performance. The log-likelihood radio (LLR) algorithm has been proposed recently to normalize posteriori probabilities which are the outputs of back-end classifiers in PPRLM systems. Support vector machine (SVM) with radial basis function (RBF) kernel is adopted as the back-end classifier. But for the conventional SVM classifier, the output is not probability. We use a pairwise posterior probability estimation (PPPE) algorithm to calibrate the output of each classifier. The proposed approaches are evaluated on the 2005 National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Language recognition evaluation databases and experiments show that the systems described in this paper produce comparable results to the existing arts.

Out-of-Set i-Vector Selection for Open-set Language Identification

Current language identification (LID) systems are based on an ivector classifier followed by a multi-class recognition back-end. Identification accuracy degrades considerably when LID systems face open-set data. In this study, we propose an approach to the problem of out of set (OOS) data detection in the context of open-set language identification. In our approach, each unlabeled i-vector in t...

مقایسه روش های طیفی برای شناسایی زبان گفتاری

Identifying spoken language automatically is to identify a language from the speech signal. Language identification systems can be divided into two categories, spectral-based methods and phonetic-based methods. In the former, short-time characteristics of speech spectrum are extracted as a multi-dimensional vector. The statistical model of these features is then obtained for each language. The ...

Emotion Detection in Persian Text; A Machine Learning Model

This study aimed to develop a computational model for recognition of emotion in Persian text as a supervised machine learning problem. We considered Pluthchik emotion model as supervised learning criteria and Support Vector Machine (SVM) as baseline classifier. We also used NRC lexicon and contextual features as training data and components of the model. One hundred selected texts including pol...

Anomaly Detection Using SVM as Classifier and Decision Tree for Optimizing Feature Vectors

Abstract- With the advancement and development of computer network technologies, the way for intruders has become smoother; therefore, to detect threats and attacks, the importance of intrusion detection systems (IDS) as one of the key elements of security is increasing. One of the challenges of intrusion detection systems is managing of the large amount of network traffic features. Removing un...
